January 28 - ASAAP Business Networking Group

Grapevine Market (7938 Great Northern Blvd)

ASAAP is hosting an Asian American lunch networking group. This is open to anyone interested in doing business with and passing on referrals to other Asian Americans. A referral happens when someone passes on an existing relationship of someone that may need the services of another person.

The first event will be on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at Grapevine Market (7938 Great Northern Blvd - Mopac and Anderson Ln exit, off of Shoal Creek) from 11:45-1pm. We've reserved an area in their bistro area, and they will have a menu of pre-selected items for faster service. If you haven't had lunch here, the food is very good.

The designated speaker for the first event is Jennifer Kim whose topic is "You'd be amazed at what your computers can do to grow your business!"

Asian Americans in Austin will hold the 8th annual Asian Lunar New Year Gala on February 7, 2004 at the Doubletree Hotel. This recurring event has been gaining recognition and popularity over the years, not only in Austin, but across the state. This year, honorees and celebrities from China, Korea, India and Philippines and other Asian countries are expecting. CNN's Headline News anchor, Sachi Koto from Atlanta will join Austin's TV anchor, Jim Spencer along with Miss Asian American Texas to MC the program. Several prominent Asian international business leaders will be honored for their achievements and contributions to the Asian American image, as well as the economic well being of the community at large. We will do this award presentation against the backdrop of an exciting program including Asian performing arts and cuisines from our diverse cultures. We look forward to receiving you at the event.
